Mailbox Monday was started over here and it’s one of my favorite book memes to participate in! I love seeing the books that everyone else has got. Plus, it’s fun to show off your haul. I don’t usually buy enough books to justify doing it, but I haven’t done it in a while, so I thought I’d catch up. It was recently my birthday, plus we went to Anime Oasis, so we could justify buying plenty of books!

7 Deadly Sins by Nakaba Suzuki

Because we were at Anime Oasis I was in a manga mood! So, of course, Chris and I bought a ton of it! First of all, we got 7 Deadly Sins. We got volumes 8-20, so we’re finally caught up! Or at least close…

A summary of the first book from Goodreads:

When they were accused of trying to overthrow the monarchy, the feared warriors the Seven Deadly Sins were sent into exile. Princess Elizabeth discovers the truth – the Sins were framed by the king’s guard, the Holy Knights – too late to prevent them from assassinating her father and seizing the throne! Now the princess is on the run, seeking the Sins to help her reclaim the kingdom. But the first Sin she meets, Meliodas, is a little innkeeper with a talking pig. He doesn’t even have a real sword! Have the legends of the Sins’ strength been exaggerated…?

Orange by

Orange was a random one I saw that looked cute, so I just picked it up. I haven’t read it yet, but I’m very excited to!

Summary from Goodreads:

One day, Takamiya Naho receives a letter written to herself from ten years in the future. As Naho reads on, the letter recites the exact events of the day, including the transfer of a new student into her class named Naruse Kakeru.

The Naho from ten years later repeatedly states that she has many regrets, and she wants to fix these by making sure the Naho from the past can make the right decisions—especially regarding Kakeru. What’s more shocking is that she discovers that ten years later, Kakeru will no longer be with them. Future Naho asks her to watch over him closely.

Twinkle Stars by Natsuki Takaya

I picked up this one because I absolutely LOVE Natsuki Takaya’s other series, Fruits Basket. I’m not very far into it, but it’s cute so far. The summary from Goodreads:

Sakuya Shiina lives with Kanade, her male cousin and foster parent. In times of pain and sadness, she’s always taken comfort in looking up at the stars. One day, a mysterious boy suddenly shows up at Sakuya’s house for her birthday. He leaves her with kind words, but she has no idea who he is!
All she has to go on is his name–Chihiro! Not one to let that deter her, she sets out in search of him with the reluctant help of her two best friends, Yuuri and Sei. Everyone says that Sakuya should just forget him, but she’s oddly drawn to the curious boy. Then, a twist of fate allows them to meet once more! Will this meeting bring them closer together…or will the feelings between these lone stars remain forever in the dark?

Say I Love You by Kanae Hazuki

Say I love you is a cute romantic manga. I just bought volume three and I’m excited to see where the story goes next!

A book I'm afraid to lend out.

A summary of the first book from Goodreads:

Mei Tachibana has spent her 16 years without making either boyfriend or friends. One day, she injures a popular boy in school, Yamato Kurosawa, because of a misunderstanding but for some reason it seems that he takes a liking to her and one-sidedly claims that they’re friends. Furthermore, he not only protects Mei from a stalker, he does it with a kiss…?!!

The Ancient Magus Bride by Kore Yamazaki

This one is one that I’ve read ahead and I’m catching up on buying the books. It’s such a cute series! If you are in the mood for something magical with a hint of romance, this one is definitely worth checking out! I bought volumes 2-5.

What I just finished reading. Check out my post for more books!

A summary of the first one from Goodreads:

Enter the Magician’s Apprentice

Her name is Chise Hatori, a penniless orphan troubled by visions. Sold as a slave to an inhuman mage, she is about to begin a strange new life, filled with magic, fairies, and other beings of a fantastical nature.

To all the boys I’ve loved before by Jenny Han

This one was the only non-manga book I’ve gotten lately. I ate through it so quickly though! I really regret not buying the entire series, haha! The review of it should be up sometime this week, so be prepared! I loved it!

For those of you who haven’t read it, here’s the summary from Goodreads:

Lara Jean’s love life gets complicated in this New York Times bestselling “lovely, lighthearted romance” from the New York Times bestselling author of The Summer I Turned Pretty series.

What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them… all at once?

Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

So, that’s what I got these past couple weeks! I’d love to hear all about your most recent book purchases! Let me know in the comments!
